Aker Kvaerner has been awarded a contract to supply eight subsea boosting systems to Petrobras, Brazil's national oil company. The contract is worth approximately USD 25 million.

The scope of work comprises eight subsea boosting systems, including power distribution, vertical connection modules, tools, accessories and spares. All systems will be deployed in the Jubarte Phase II field, as part of its artificial lift system. Work will be completed from Aker Kvaerner's subsea facility in Curitiba within 14 months.

"This award is a major milestone for Aker Kvaerner in Brazil. Our subsea boosting technology is gaining worldwide recognition and we are happy to work together with Petrobras on this project", says Gustavo Gonçalves, Sales and Marketing Manager for Aker Kvaerner Subsea in Brazil.

Aker Kvaerner has extensive experience delivering subsea equipment in Brazil, having delivered more than 130 subsea trees to Petrobras since the start of operations in Brazil.
