Alderley Dammam has recently delivered one of the largest crude oil metering systems built at their facilities for the Jubail II Project. The impressive 19m long, 9m wide and 5m high crude oil metering system was safely delivered in April 2014 to the petrochemical facility, Jubail Industrial City II, in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The scope of supply for this contract included a Crude Oil Metering System with 4 x 33% meter runs and bi-directional prover, using Turbine metering technology. The metering system was supplied with the associated sampling and control system. The control system incorporated Alderley’s HAWK supervisory system which is an object based system designed to give operators a clear and uncluttered view of metering information to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Keith Stephen, General Manager, Alderley Dammam, “Alderley globally has been delivering projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for more than sixteen years and are pleased once again to be able to deliver another system to our client’s specifications and requirements. Our work does not stop at just the design and manufacturing of these systems but our dedicated service team will be on hand to provide customer support services to all the systems we provide in the region.”

The systems will be supported by Alderley’s local service facility based in Dammam, which has just recently celebrated gaining platinum status with the Labour Office for the number of Saudi nationals employed at these facilities.

Alderley Dammam is part of the Alderley Group and has been operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2004 before setting up manufacturing facilities in 2007 for the design and manufacture of bespoke custody and transfer metering and control solutions for the oil and gas industry.
