AusGroup is pleased to announce the award of an AUD$120 million contract as part of the Pluto LNG Project.

The contract was awarded to AusGroup’s Australian subsidiary, AGC Industries Pty Ltd ('AGC') by Woodside.

The contract requires AGC to provide construction support activities related to the Pluto LNG process facility. The Pluto onshore plant is located on the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia, approximately 7km north of Dampier and 2.5km from the existing North West Shelf Karratha Gas Plant.

AGC’s scope of work consists of mechanical works associated with the installation of structural steel and process piping, installation of mechanical equipment, pre-assembled pipe racks, modules and structures, testing of pipework and associated activities. The work is to commence immediately, with completion scheduled by end of FY2010.

“Woodside is a key client for our Group and it is pleasing that we have again demonstrated our ability to secure repeat business from this blue chip client. This is a strategic contract for us as it firmly establishes us as a key supplier to the LNG construction industry in Western Australia.

We look forward to working closely with our client and to delivering our services to the complete satisfaction of Woodside.”

Mr John Sheridan, CEO and Managing Director, AusGroup Ltd.
