The plant was handed over to PARCO in November 2012 and has been successfully running since then.

Back in 2008 Pörner Group was commissioned by Pak-Arab Refinery Ltd. (PARCO) to plan, design and construct a new Biturox® plant at the Mid-Country Refinery near Multan, Pakistan. The scope of work included licensing, basic design of process unit and loading station, detail engineering of reactor section, delivery of core components, commissioning and start-up assistance as well as documentation and training of operators.

The plant has a capacity of 165,000 TPA bitumen of grade 80/100 PEN/PEN and produces high-quality paving bitumen for a number of motorway and infrastructural projects in Pakistan. The plant also produces industrial grade bitumen 10/20 PEN/PEN.

The plant was handed over to the customer in November 2012 and has been successfully running since then.
