Bluewater Energy Services B.V. has been awarded a contract by Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) for the design and supply of a complete SPM loading terminal for the DAS Marine Terminal offshore Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The terminal will be used for the export of crude oil and condensate at DAS Island.

Bluewater’s scope of supply consists of the design, procurement and fabrication of a round, turret catenerary anchor leg mooring (CALM) buoy including pipeline end manifold (PLEM), an advanced telemetry system and a piled mooring system. The buoy will accommodate tankers up to 360,000 dwt. The delivery of the complete system is expected to take place in May 2005.
This award marks the second such buoy supplied in the UAE. In 2002 Bluewater supplied a turret buoy for the Vopak ENOC terminal offshore Fujairah.
