Bridgeline Holdings, L. P., a joint venture between subsidiaries of Texaco and Enron, today announced the following executive appointments which are effective immediately:

  • Randall L. Curry — President
  • Robert Shiring — Vice-President of Trading
  • Hugh H. Connett — Vice-President of Marketing and Supply

Curry graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979 with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering. He began his career with Charter Oil Company that same year and subsequently held positions with Panhandle Eastern Pipeline before joining Texaco in 1988 in the company's Natural Gas Department.

From 1988 until 1992 he held positions of increasing responsibility in the Texaco Natural Gas Inc. (TNGI) organization. In 1993 he was appointed Vice President of TNGI with responsibility for the long-term marketing and supply groups. In 1996 he was named President of Sabine Pipe Line Company, a subsidiary of Texaco. Curry was appointed to his most recent position of Senior Vice President - Pipeline & Plant Group of Texaco Natural Gas, North America in 1998.

Shiring graduated from Texas A&M University in 1978 with a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering. Most recently, he was Director of Natural Gas Trading for Enron, responsible for the western U.S. region. Prior to joining Enron, Shiring was Executive Vice President of American Hunter Energy, a natural gas marketing company.

Connett received a bachelor of science degree in petroleum & natural gas engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1982. Following graduation, he joined Mitchell Energy and Development Corporation and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in that company's natural gas division. Connett joined Texaco Natural Gas in 1997 as Gas Supply Manager. In 1999 he was appointed to his most recent position of Vice President, Gas Supply & Field Services for Texaco Natural Gas, North America.

The formation of Bridgeline Holdings was announced on February 15, and will be operational on March 1, 2000. The new company will have combined facilities consisting of more than 1,000 miles of transmission and distribution pipeline, 7 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of sdome storage capacity, with an additional 6 Bcf in development, and 33,050 horsepower of compression. The combined system will have a diversified natural gas supply, high and low pressure operating capabilities and access to the interstate pipeline grid in south Louisiana and the Henry Hub. Bridgeline Holdings expects to have sales of more than 1 Bcf of natural gas per day.

Texaco and Enron note that the combination of their Louisiana intrastate pipeline operations will enhance the products and services offered to customers through greater overall system flexibility and dramatically improved operating efficiencies
