APL, a division of BW Offshore, has signed a contract with ENI Norge AS for the supply of a complete offloading system. The system will be installed on the Goliat FPSO, which will operate in the Arctic waters of the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The offloading system is based on the Stern Discharge System (SDS) developed by APL. The first SDS was delivered in 1993 for operation in the North Sea, and APL has since then delivered a total of 31 systems world-wide. The systems have performed more than 13,000 offloadings with the highest focus on secure handling for the crew and the environment.

The delivery of the system is scheduled for 2012. The contract has a value of approximately USD 15 million.
