On July 29, China's first 10,000t offshore platform-PSP module of Lvda 27-2/32-2 project undertaken by COOEC was smoothly hauled and loaded on board, marking a new step in COOEC's capability of offshore engineering construction.

PSP module of Lvda 27-2/32-2 project is an offshore oil production and storage platform and is China's heaviest module installed offshore by floatover with a total weight of 11,500t, approaching the loading limit of the transport barge Offshore Oil 221. The construction of the platform was launched in Qingdao fabrication yard on August 28, 2008 and completed in 11 months.

CNOOC and COOEC leaders attached great importance to the project and personally directed it on the site. At the stage of construction preparation, frequent simulation analysis and work coordination laid a solid foundation for the smooth progressing of the project. Technical innovation in construction guaranteed work safety and efficiency. COOEC's construction and installation team invented and manufactured a steel stranded line releaser, and independently designed and successfully used the jack to move and sport the platform, so as to accomplish the full-course haul of structures with fully localized jack for application.

Lvda PSP module is scheduled to go offshore on August 8 and be installed by floatover on August 11.
