Cladtek completes delivery of British Gas Hasdrubal CRA Flowlines

11km of 471mm OD x 15.1+2.5mm DNV450 / 825 – The delivery of this project represents a couple of key milestones for Cladtek.

(1) This is the first project to be delivered using Cladtek’s double expansion process, this involves the pre expansion of liners prior to annealing, using this technique larger bore pipes can be made with alloy 825 and 625 liners produced from coils. Historically the diameter of liner pipes made from coils has been limited to 390mm with a single long seam. Using the double expansion technique pipes up to 20” can be lined starting with a 390mm OD lined pipe.

(2) This is the 2nd subsea flowline that Cladtek has delivered using ERW outer pipe cementing Cladtek’s position as the leader in using ERW outer pipe for subsea CRA Lined subsea flowlines manufactured according to DNV OS F101. Cladtek’s unique lining process that works within the elastic range of the carbon steel outer pipe enables the advantages of Lower Cost, Enhanced Dimensional Tolerances and Reduced Lead Times of ERW pipes to be realized for CRA Lined Flowlines for the 1st time.
