CNOOC Clean Energy Business Progresses Well in Zhejiang and Fujian

On December 18, Zhejiang LNG terminal and port construction project started construction. With a coverage of 469,000 square meters, Zhejiang LNG project is jointly developed by CNOOC and Zhejiang Provincial Government. Its phase I investment totals around RMB 70 million, covering the construction of 1 LNG tanker loading dock, 3 LNG storage tanks, and is expected to process 3 million tons of LNG per year after the production commencement scheduled in 2012.

On December 19, the gas transmission pipelines project from Fuzhou to Fuding was started, which is part of phase Ⅱ project of natural gas pipeline network in Fujian West Strait Economic Zone. In August, Fujian Provincial Government approved the West Strait Economic Zone Natural Gas Pipeline Networks Construction Plan. According to the plan, by 2020, Fujian LNG pipelines will reach 3,609 kilometers, and the network capacity will reach 10 million tons, including 2 receiving terminals, 72 sub-transmission stations and 96 satellite stations.

Also on December 19, the construction ceremony of Haixi Ningde Industrial Zone was held in Sandu Bay, Ningde City, Fujian Province, kicking off its comprehensive development. During the Twelfth Five-year Plan period, the industrial zone will focus on the crude oil reserves, refining and LNG terminal projects, while developing the auxiliary pipeline networks, natural gas-fired power generation and LNG cold energy utilization industry.
