Commencement of Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area project B-17 Gas Production

Reference is made to PTTEP International Limited, a subsidiary of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP, and PC JDA Limited, each holds a 50% participating interest in Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area project B-17 or MTJDA-B17. MTJDA-B17 is operated by Carligari-PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn. Bhd. or CPOC which is a joint operating company established by PTTEPI and PC JDA Limited, with 50% interest equally.

PTTEP wishes to announce that MTJDA-B17 project has already started up its production. The current delivery of natural gas to PTT Public Company Limited has met the gas quality and quantity specified in the Gas Sales Agreement at approximately 135 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). The current production rate of condensate is approximately 4,900 barrels per day. The production for natural gas is expected to reach 335 MMSCFD by the fourth quarter this year.

The commencement of natural gas production in MTJDA-B17 is considered as a major step of PTTEP to serve the domestic gas demand in the future.
