PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), wishes to announce that PTTEP Australasia (Ashmore Cartier) Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTTEP, has started to introduce hydrocarbon to the Montara Venture FPSO at the beginning of this month and the facility achieved steady production on June 12, 2013.

Montara Oil production is projected to ramp up to 21,000 barrels per day (bpd) initially. Then production will build to 30,000 bpd, following completion of one additional development well scheduled for the second half of 2013. The first crude oil sales offtake is expected in August this year.

Montara field is located in Timor Sea, Australia. Montara first oil production reflects our unwavering determination to build value to the development of PTTEP’s asset in Australia, under international practices and safety standards.
