ConocoPhillips UK Limited has awarded Heerema Vlissingen BV with the procurement and fabrication of the Britannia Satellites Jacket in August 2004.

The Bridge Linked Platform jacket will stand in 137 meters of water and weigh about 6,100 mtons. With a height of 170 meter, bottom dimensions of 41 x 41 meter and top dimensions of 19 x 19 meter, the Britannia Bridge Linked Platform jacket ranks in the top 3 heaviest jackets built by Heerema Vlissingen. The jacket site fabrication will start early 2005 and completion is scheduled for June 2006.

The Britannia Satellies Phase | Project comprises the development of the Callanish and Brodgar fields via tie-backs to a new platform, bridge-linked to the original Britannia platform, located approximately 210 km north east of Aberdeen, UK.
