Dietsmann Libya, Joint Venture Company between Dietsmann Group and Taknia Libya, has commenced mobilization of a Maintenance Management Assistance (MMAC) contract in late December.

Dietsmann Libya was awarded a contract on November 27 for Mellitah Oil & Gas at Wafa Desert Oil & Gas plant and pipeline. The project is expected to improve the ongoing maintenance management. Mellitah Oil & Gas selected Dietsmann Libya on the basis of its reputation for the efficient operation and maintenance of oil, gas and power production facilities both in Libya and worldwide.

The Wafa Desert field is located some 550km south of the Libyan port of Mellitah. The contract has an initial duration of two years and is worth EUR 20 million. In line with its business principles, this contract will provide employment for a number of Libyan nationals and expatriates. Dietsmann strives to maximize local employment in the maintenance organization of its operations. The new contract also confirms Dietsmann’s commitment to participating in the continued development of the new Libya, and to providing training and job creation for Libyan technicians in its operating and maintenance activities.

Dietsmann hopes this will contribute to the country’s future development and help return prosperity to all Libyans. Dietsmann’s expertise and more than 35 years of experience, as well as its outstanding reputation, played a very important role in the winning of this contract.
