Dyas successfully negotiated, also on behalf of Unocal, a deal with NAM (Shell/Esso) to acquire their 47% equity in the still to be developed A & B block shallow gas reservoirs. Located at depths of only 500 m, the shallow gas development will pose specific technical challenges and is a first in the Dutch offshore sector. Unocal will become the new operator in the joint venture with Dyas, DSM and the state perticipant EBN. Field development will take approximately two years, with first gas expected in the second half of 2006
