The Spanish energy company Enagas has recently awarded IKM Testing Spain a new pre-commissioning and commissioning contract.

The scopes of work are drying, inerting and leak testing of pipes and equipment for the “El Musel” LNG Plant. Additional to the scopes mentioned IKM will carry out the maintenance of preserved lines, mechanical activities and Pre-Cool down within the plant. These additional scopes will be carried out on a monthly basis.

The “EL MUSEL” LNG PLANT includes two storage tanks, each of 150.000 m3, charge and discharge lines to storage tanks, distribution lines and equipment. El Musel is a seaport located in Asturias, in the north of Spain.

Engas is an energy company which owns and operates the nation's gas grid. The company also owns and operates three liquefied natural gas regasification terminals in the country, at Huelva, Barcelona and Cartagena

The project starts immediately and will run up to the end of 2012.
