As reported by Fan Ji from SLECC Sichuan Branch on December 20, 2013 in Yuanba Gas Field, the construction gathering pipelines for production test of Yuanba Gas Field has entered the closeout phase. As of December 20, 93.6% acid gas pipeline welding, 77.3% fuel gas welding, 50.2% sewage pipeline, 43.1% fiber works and 98.6% electric power line have been finished respectively for main work of the off-site pipeline project. With the support of the owner, design, construction, supervision and other participating companies, the completion work of the off-site pipeline is progressing in good order. The work focus of gather & transformation project has been shifted to the station construction since half a year after the commencement of pipeline construction.

To the end of this month, the construction of 8 stations among 14 gathering stations has been commenced and 1# fuel gas valve chamber has been finished. The foundation construction of YB103H, YB205-1, YB204-1, YB101-1 and gas gathering central station has been finished gradually. For YB103H, the sloping roof of station control room and parapet wall have been finished. For YB205, YB103H and YB29, the pile foundation construction of flare zone has been under smooth progress. In other stations, the civil work has been commenced and progressed as scheduled.

Gathering & transformation project in Yuanba is divided into two stages, namely “production test in early stage” and “progressive development”. Due to the impact of such factors as delay of well drilling and gas testing, the production tests of some stations have been postponed to the end of next year, and Phase I of stations originally planned for progressive development has been commenced in advance. Meanwhile, adjustments to the locations of development well have brought tremendous challenges to the design, including demands for pig launcher and receiver, split of original valve chambers, demands for new off-site gathering & transformation pipeline, etc.. Although the design plans and proposals were disrupted again and again, project team members submitted relevant designs in batches promptly as per the on-site construction schedule with highly professional spirits dutifully as usual, making tremendous contribution to the steady progress of the project.

According to the latest material delivery plan, the first batch of anti-sulphur pipe fittings for stations will be delivered to the site in the end of December. Then, the piping work will be commenced in full swing and the on-site construction will be carried forward to a new stage. With the progress of station construction, cross operations will be performed among various disciplines, which may bring more complicate challenges for on-site construction. It is not only a challenge for the design quality, but also raises higher requirements for the on-site technical support. Project team members have determinations and are confidence to continue to provide Yuanba project with quality services, so as to ensure that the Phase I of gathering & transformation project can be delivered on next June 30 and put into operation on September 30.
