Bluewater Energy Services B.V., a member of the Bluewater group of companies, is proud to announce that the FPSO Aoka Mizu, currently producing on the Ettrick field in the UK sector, achieved first oil production on August 15th 2009 at 18:50 hrs GMT+1. Bluewater is both the owner and operator of the FPSO.

Bluewater’s President & CEO Hugo J. Heerema commented: "Achieving first oil is an important milestone for Bluewater. I hope that the Ettrick field, with its tie-in potential, will exceed expectations, and that high production uptimes, as well as the safety of all working on the Aoka Mizu, will characterize this operation for many years to come!"

Bluewater Ettrick Production (UK) Limited was awarded the Ettrick field development by Nexen (operator), Bow Valley Petroleum (UK) Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dana Petroleum Group) and Atlantic Petroleum in April 2006.The contract is for the production facilities and operations of the Ettrick field for an initial term of five years, with extension options.
