January 16, 1996 — Fluor Daniel announced today its Petroleum and Petrochemicals operating company has been awarded a contract by the Indian Oil Corporation and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Fluor Daniel is providing engineering services for the preparation of a detailed feasibility report for a grassroots refinery to be located on the east coast of India in the state of Orissa. The study is scheduled for completion by mid 1996.

Indian Oil Corporation, headquartered in New Delhi, is the nation’s largest refining company and operates six refineries throughout India, with an installed processing capacity of 28 million tons per year.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, headquartered in Safat, Kuwait, is engaged in the exploration, production, refining, transportation and marketing of hydrocarbons and related products.
