Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that Samsung C&T Corporation has awarded the company an engineering and related management services contract for the Singapore LNG Terminal Project at Singapore's Jurong Island. Samsung is the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor to Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd. Fluor booked the undisclosed contract value in the fourth quarter of 2009.

"We are tremendously pleased to be part of this groundbreaking LNG project in Singapore," said Peter Oosterveer, Fluor's president of Energy & Chemicals. "This project cements Fluor's presence in this region of the world using our talented resources in both Singapore and Manila."

When completed, Singapore's first liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal is expected to produce 3.5 million tons of LNG annually. Work is underway with the project being performed from Fluor's Singapore, Manila and Houston operations centers.
