Foster Wheeler Ltd. (NYSE:FWC) announced today that its subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, has been awarded a five-year, Long Term Agreement (LTA) for ExxonMobil project work in Europe, including projects at ExxonMobil's integrated refinery and chemical plant, Fawley (Southampton), UK.

These projects will upgrade ExxonMobil facilities, while ensuring compliance with evolving legislation.

Under the contract scope, Foster Wheeler, a substantial supplier of engineering throughout the world for more than 70 years, will provide front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed engineering, procurement, and construction management services for selected refinery and chemical projects.

Foster Wheeler has begun work on the front-end loading (FEED) phase of ExxonMobil's sulfur-free motor gasoline (mogas) project, which is being developed to meet European Union legislation for reducing sulfur in gasoline.

The refinery at Fawley is the largest in the UK and one of the most complex refineries in Europe.

Ian Bill, chairman and chief executive of Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, said, "We are delighted to continue our work for ExxonMobil for another five years. Foster Wheeler thoroughly understands ExxonMobil's systems and standards, and has successfully executed many of its projects.

"Our mission is to be our customers' preferred supplier of project management, engineering and construction services. Having worked regularly with ExxonMobil at its Fawley site during the last 53 years, we intend to maintain the track record of completing projects safely, on time and within budget."
