FPSO OSX-1 begins production of first oil from OGX

On January 31, 2012 at 18h39m50s, was successfully completed by the start of production of the FPSO OSX-1 first oil from its anchor customer, OGX, the Brazilian oil and natural gas EBX Group responsible for the largest private sector exploratory campaign in Brazil.

The FPSO OSX-1 is responsible for conducting the test (EWT) in the Waimea accumulation in the Campos Basin, through the well OGX-26HP, located 80 km from the coast and 130 meters water depth.

The FPSO OSX-1 is the first floating production, storage and offloading of oil and gas to join the fleet of OSX. The OSX-1 was built in Korea and customized in Singapore at the Keppel shipyard. With 271.75 meters in length, has a storage capacity of up to 900 thousand barrels of oil. The FPSO OSX-1 was chartered by OGX for a period of 20 years, and is operated by OSX through its subsidiary OSX Operational Services Ltda.

Over the coming weeks, the production team will test different levels of OGX flow gradually stabilize seeking well production around 15 thousand barrels per day.
