Fugro-Rovtech Ltd has been awarded a contract to provide vessel, ROV, inspection and subsea engineering services to BP Trinidad and Tobago in support of its oil and gas facilities, offshore Trinidad.

The ROV-support vessel Skandi Carla has commenced operations in Trinidad on the installation of a pipeline crossing at the NAD (Northern Area Development) Serrette Field in Block Samaan, off the east coast of Trinidad.

Subsequently, ROV inspection will be carried out of over 350km of subsea pipelines, risers and umbilicals, as well as subsea intervention tasks.

In support of this contract, Fugro will utilise local services and resources, via Fugro Survey Caribbean Inc. This contract presents a significant opportunity to showcase the global reach and depth of Fugro's resources and capabilities to major oil and gas players.

On completion of the BP workscope, Fugro will remain well placed to service the needs of clients requiring ROV and vessel requirements in the local area.
