The Company Launches Project for Hydrogen Production with the capacity 25 000 nm3/hr

Hydrogen production at the oil refinery will enable to satisfy needs in hydrogen due to the company's plans to construct the installation for gasoline post hydrotreatment Axens Prime G+ as a part of FCC complex, create an isomerization plant with prehydrotreatment unit, revamp diesel hydrotreater L-24-6, and also switch the second line of L-16-1 unit of workshop #9 to the hydrotreatment of vacuum gasoil. At the same time, hydrogen production will provide pure hydrogen for gasoline and diesel fuel hydrotreaters to produce diesel fuel, which meets the requirements of the Russian and European technical regulations.

Sulfur content in GNS diesel fuel will make max 10 ppm, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons – max. 11% , with a minimum cetane number of 51.

At present GNS has chosen the hydrogen technology which is distinguished by the best performance data and the lowest environmental effect. The commissioning is to be started in first half of 2014.
