In September 2010, “Giprogazoochistka” OJSC has concluded an agreement for front end engineering design under the project “Elemental sulfur production as part of combined vacuum gasoil hydrotreating unit” for Kuibyshev Refinery owned by "NK “Rosneft” OJSC.

After commissioning, the unit designed by " Giprogazoochistka” OJSC will ensure manufacturing of liquid and granular sulfur (up to 80 thou t per annum) by Kuibyshev Refinery. The unit will comprise: Amine solution regeneration unit, sour effluent stripping unit, sulfur recovery unit, granulating unit, complexes for sulfur loading into special transport.

Three-dimensional designing system AVEVA applied by “Giprogazoochistka” OJSC will ensure meeting a tight schedule, thus guarantying high quality of documentation, saving of costs and cushioning of risks for the customer at the further stage of project implementation.

The complex is planned to startup in 2013, thus allowing Kuibyshev Refinery to become the first plant in Samarskaya oblast manufacturing oil products complaint with standard Euro-4 among three plants existing in the region.
