HESS Denmark awarded Dragados Offshore with the South Arne Phase 3 project

The scope of the contract, which covers the expansion of the existing South Arne field offshore Denmark, includes engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of two wellhead platforms, with weights of 1.600t and 1.350t respectively, as well as the two jackets supporting these platforms, with a weight of 2.600t each.

The detail engineering of the EPC contract will is subcontracted to KBR, from the London office, under supervision of Dragados Offshore. The project will begin immediately and completion, which will be achieved upon sailaway of the different elements, has a target window between April and June 2012. This term includes a seven week period for onshore commissioning of the platforms within the Puerto Real yard. During the construction stage, the project will require an average of 400 workers with peaks of approximately 700.
