Statoil has awarded the concept and FEED Engineering Contract of the SURF package on Peregrino II in Brazil to IKM Ocean Design

The project starts immediately and will run up to the Summer 2013.

Man Dir. in IKM Ocean Design, Peder Hoås, says in a press release that this is a very strategic project for IKM Ocean Design, as it suits very well with the plans the IKM Group has for future activities in Brazil.

”We see a big potential in the SURF market in Brazil, this project is therefore a very important reference project for IKM Ocean Design”, Hoås says.
IKM Ocean Design is estabilshed with offices in Stavanger, Trondheim and Perth-Australia. The Company employs approximately 100 engineers within the areas field development, subsea pipelines and subsea structures.

The Peregrino field is located in the South western part of the Campos Basin, approximately 85 km from shore. Peregrino II is planned to be tied-in to Peregrino I, consisting of two wellhead platforms (A and B) and one FPSO. As part of the Peregrino II development, a new wellhead platform (C) is planned for. The pipelines and power cables from Peregrino II will be connected to the FPSO. The distance between the two fields are approximately 20 km.
