IKM Testing Australia have been awarded a multi million dollar contract by Allseas Construction Contractors SA for the provision of pipeline precommissioning services on the Gorgon and Jansz gas field pipeliness located off the coast of Western Australia. xx

The overall Gorgon project involves the development of the Jansz and Gorgon fields located approximately 65 – 130 km off the northwest coast of Western Australia. The project consists of subsea facilities, offshore and onshore pipelines and umbilicals tied back to an LNG processing facility on Barrow Island.

The IKM Testing scope of work is to provide pipeline precommissioning services on the infield flowlines at Gorgon and the deepwater Jansz fields.

The project has several challenges and one is the deepwater aspect which involves deployment of a downline to water depths in excess of 1300m to provide pipeline flooding and testing.

IKM shall supply a one piece, flexible, self supporting, composite downline, and design and fabricate, in house, an ultra deepwater, modular downline deployment system.

This modular, transportable system will be housed in Perth, Australia to capitalize on the raft of future deepwater LNG projects currently under consideration/development and can be deployed globally if required.

Stephen Kingsnorth, International Business Director, commented, "This contract award confirms IKM Testing's position as a globally recognised, innovative service company. Furthermore, this award strengthens our relationship with Allseas and will enable IKM to continue to build its business in this strategically important region."
