INTECSEA is pleased to announce that INTECSEA and WorleyParsons have been awarded the topsides and floating system FEED engineering contract for the Hess Equus project in Australia. The project is one of Hess’ premier offshore projects on the NW shelf and involves naval architecture, hull structure, mooring, riser, and topsides for the Hess development underpinned by resource in permit WA-390-P offshore Western Australia. INTECSEA Houston will perform the naval architecture, hull structure, mooring and riser related scope, while WorleyParsons Perth will provide project management and engineering services for the topsides with support from the Kuala Lumpur office.

INTECSEA has previously undertaken a number of studies and designs for Western Australia, and is familiar with metocean, geotechnical and regulatory requirements for the region. The health, safety and environmental understanding for the region played a significant role in winning this business, along with the interface management plan for the Houston work scope and our prior work performed specifically for Hess during the Pre-FEED.

“Hess is a respected partner of INTECSEA and WorleyParsons, and this FEED contract will help further engage and develop our excellent working relationship,” says Uri Nooteboom, INTECSEA President.
