INTECSEA has been awarded a contract by ConocoPhillips Australia to provide subsea Front End Engineering Design (FEED) services for subsea scopes of their Barossa development located offshore North Australia, approximately 300km north-northwest of Darwin.

The scope of work awarded to INTECSEA includes the FEED engineering for infield rigid flowline system, gas export pipeline between Barossa and the existing Bayu Undan pipeline, associated dynamic risers and umbilicals, flowline and pipeline end termination structures and subsea tie-in spools.

The contract will mainly be executed from INTECSEA’s Perth office, with support being provided from other offices including Houston, London and Delft.

Nick Brown, Regional Director for INTECSEA Australia said the company was honoured to be involved in this development. “INTECSEA has extensive experience in the design of subsea flowline and export pipeline systems and has previously undertaken similar scopes of work for a range of clients.”

The Barossa joint venturers are ConocoPhillips Australia Barossa Pty Ltd (operator, 37.5%), SK E&S Australia Pty Ltd (37.5%) and Santos Offshore Pty Ltd (25.0%).
