Jacobs Receives Contract From Heurtey Petrochem for New Hydrogen Plant in Serbia

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from Heurtey Petrochem SA, France to provide engineering services for a new hydrogen plant generation unit at the Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) refinery. The NIS refinery is located in Pancevo, Serbia and is under a license from Haldor Topsoe.

Officials did not disclose the contract value, however indicated that the total installed cost of the project is estimated at 70 million euros (approx. US$100 million).

Jacobs' scope of work for the project includes detailed engineering services which will be executed from their offices in India. The engineering of the new plant is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Christopher E. Nagel stated, "We are delighted to work with Heurtey and NIS to assist them in meeting their goals and we look forward to working with them on this important project."
