JGC Awarded Water Treatment Project in Saudi-Kuwait Neutral Zone

JGC Gulf International, JGC Corporation’s subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, has been awarded the Water Treatment Facilities – Phase 3 (Onshore) project by Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), a joint venture between Aramco Gulf Operations and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company. Khafji is in the Neutral Zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

JCG Gulf will perform engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and pre-commissioning work for new water treatment facilities for treating produced water (170,000 bd), new water injection facilities and utilities associated with KJO’s crude processing facilities. The contract is valued at more than 150 million US dollars under a lump-sum turnkey scheme. The project is scheduled for completion in 2013.
