“KazRosGas” LLP which is formed on a parity basis by NC “KazMunayGas” JSC and “Gazprom” OJSC, celebrates 12th anniversary since its foundation.

On June 7, 2002 in St.Petersburg during bilateral meeting of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was signed a foundation contract between National Company “KazMunayGas” JSC and “Gazprom” OJSC to create the “KazRosGas” joint venture in which was vested the right to conduct marketing research of the outlets for natural gas and its products, to process gas, provide its transportation, sell it on the internal and external markets.
On June 10, 2002 by Justice Department of Almaty “KazRosGas” company was registered as a legal entity.

In pursuance of Agreement basic provisions between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in gas industry dated November 28, 2001 and on cooperation in creating business entity on the base of Orenburg gas processing plant dated October 3, 2006, “KazRosGas” LLP on a mutually beneficial basis is realized purchase and processing of Karachaganak field raw gas on the facilities of Orenburg gas chemical complex, during twelve years providing guaranteed and reliable supply of “blue” fuel for the population and industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For the purposes of effective implementation of the above mentioned main provisions of the Agreement of “KazRosGas” LLP is realizing the project on construction and commissioning of the production base for sulfur granulation with an annual capacity up to 500 thousand tons near the Orenburg gas processing plant. Realization of this project will improve the efficiency of sulfur realization while ensuring its storage, packing and transportation in conformity with the international requirements.

By joint decision of National Company “KazMunayGas” JSC and “Gazprom” OJSC which are authorized agencies on the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on joint activity for geological study and exploration of transboundary Imashev gas condensate field on September 7, 2010. “KazRosGas” LLP was appointed as a joint operator under this Agreement. Realization of this project will contribute to further development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in the oil and gas industry, growth of economic potential and improvement of well-being of the two nations’ people.
