KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today that it has accepted a Contract Award from Woodside for a Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract for Train 2 and Train 3 of Woodside's Pluto Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project. The contract also includes an option for early engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services.

The Pluto Train 2 and 3 development is being undertaken as an expansion of the onshore LNG plant at Woodside's Pluto LNG Park located near Karratha in Western Australia. The Pluto foundation project onshore facilities, including a single LNG processing train with forecast LNG capacity of 4.3 million tonnes per year (mtpa), storage facilities and an export jetty, are currently under construction.

This award signifies KBR's continued success in the growing Australian LNG industry. "KBR is pleased to work with Woodside again on an Australian LNG project," said Mitch Dauzat, KBR's President, Gas Monetization. "This award demonstrates the combined strength of KBR's global LNG expertise and its local Australian capabilities."
