December 2005 - Gulf Interstate Engineering Company (Gulf) announces the award of a contract with Rockies Express Pipeline LLC to provide Project Management, engineering, procurement and construction management support services on the Rockies Express Pipeline Project.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP) and Sempra Pipelines & Storage, a unit of Sempra Energy, have partnered together to build the Rockies Express Pipeline. The proposed 1,323-mile, 42-inch diameter pipeline will originate at the Cheyenne Hub in Weld County, Colorado and will extend to the Clarington Hub in Monroe County, Ohio. The Rockies Express Pipeline will be the largest U.S. built natural gas pipeline in more than 20 years, supplying gas to markets in the Midwest and Northeastern parts of the country.
