Larsen & Toubro (L&T) was recently awarded a contract by Petronas Carigali Myanmar (Hong Kong) Limited for executing a $112 million offshore engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) project offshore Myanmar. The Yetagun North Field is operated by Petronas Carigali Myanmar (Hong Kong) Limited with Petronas Carigali Myanmar Incorporated, Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise, PTTEP International Ltd and JX Nippon Oil Exploration (Myanmar) Limited as its partners.

The 19-month project includes installation of subsea pipeline at a water depth of 108m and supply of an offshore wellhead platform. The scope of project also involves host tie-in works on an existing platform in the Yetagun complex.

L&T-Valdel is the designated engineering center and work has commenced on the project. L&T's facility in Kattupalli on the East Coast of India will undertake the fabrication work for the project.
