Further to the award of the construction work of Olefin No.3 plant from Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) in 2004, CTCI successfully passed the strict assessment of FPCC, and was awarded the construction work of the Lube Base Oil Plant Project.

The Lube Base Oil Plant Project is not only the largest construction project in FPCC Mai-Liao Complex, but also a historical record of the Hydrocarbon Business Operations of CTCI for construction projects.The duration of the project is 24 months - the scheduled completion date is in March 2008.

Furthermore, owing to the strict HSE requirements and schedule control as well as effective achievement of the “5 S” Targets, the Owner has given a high praise on the capabilities of CTCI in carrying out design and construction works, and awarded the Furnace Package of Kerosene Hydrogen Desulphurization Unit and the Debottlenecking Project of Delayed Coking Unit Depending to CTCI. Based on the accumulated integrated design and construction experiences through many years, it is for sure that CTCI can successfully accomplish these projects and achieve the requirements of the Owner.
