On 21 November 2013 the contract for the maintenance of the Unit 2 and 3 Gas Compressors in the Karachaganak field, located about 150 kilometers east of Oral (Uralsk) in the northwest of Kazakhstan, was awarded to a consortium of Dietsmann and Caih Power.
The contract has an initial duration of three years plus a 2 year renewal option and is worth US$ 10 million. Mobilization started at the end of January 2014. In total a workforce of 18 employees will carry out the work related to this contract. As always, Dietsmann aims to maximize local employment in its maintenance organization. Currently over 88% of Dietsmann’s 325-strong workforce in Kazakhstan are local employees.

Dietsmann has been working in Kazakhstan for 15 years and has built-up an enviable reputation for O&M expertise and reliability with maintenance activities at both the Karachaganak onshore field near Aksai and the giant Kashagan offshore field 80 km South–East of Atyrau in the Caspian Sea.
