The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), through its Directorate General for Energy Environmental Affairs (DGAAE) approved the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) project for the construction, operation and maintenance of a pipeline and CPF Line Diluent -Ando, ​​for their own use, located in Block 67, presented by the company Perenco Peru Limited Petroleum, Peru Branch.

This project, whose investment is U.S. $ 359 million will be from the Central Processing Facility Cucaray Lot 67 (CPF) located in the district of Napo province Maynas to station Andoas Datem the Maranon, in the department of Loreto.

The DGAAE said the aim of the project involves the construction, operation and maintenance of the pipeline and the line of CPF-Andoas diluent, the pipeline will have an approximate length of 207 km between CPF and Andoas, which is to allow transport production of heavy crude from the central processing facilities Curaray Lot 67.

This EIA indicates that the pipeline route extends 30.2 km in the National Reserve Pucacuro (Protected Area by the Peruvian). In addition to the pipeline transportation of crude oil that will leave the CPF will be located at the station on Perenco Andoas, where the oil will be delivered through a transfer line to the station Andoas Petroperu. It will install a second pipeline to transport diluent from Andoas to CPF.

At the station Perenco Andoas be required to install metering equipment for custody transfer, relief system and other auxiliary equipment for maintenance of the pipelines as traps raspatubos receipt and release.

Note that the EIA in question, approved by Resolution N º 210-2011-MEM/AAE, decided to refer to OSINERGMIN and Assessment Agency and Environmental Control (OEFA) a copy of it to the corresponding control purposes.
