The completion of the EUR 24 million first phase in the construction of a desulphurisation (Claus)
unit at Sisak Refinery was announced at a press conference held at the refinery on 28 September
2007. At 10 a.m. on 19 September 2007, the unit w as put on trial run. The construction of the unit,
the contract for which was awarded to the Italian company Technip KTI in December 2005, has
been completed on schedule. When the second phase is finished, the project w ill be w orth EUR
32 million.

The purpose of this unit is strictly environmental protection and therefore it w as given priority in the
overall modernisation process of Sisak refinery.
