Fabricom has been awarded a FEED study with Statoil for the drilling upgrade on the Veslefrikk A rig.
The contract was awarded as a direct consequence of the work performed for a recent Class C study.

– We see this contract and the award of the option for FEED as a major step in our newly implemented strategy to expand our market offering to cover front end engineering services and EPCI modifications of Drilling Upgrade projects, says Per Inge Nag, Fabricom’s Director of Technology, Studies and Field Development.

The FEED engineering will be performed in close cooperation with our subcontractor RDS, engineering division of the drilling contractor KCA Deutag.

– This contract brings together the EPCI competence of Fabricom and the drilling engineering competence of RDS, says Nag.
