The distillate hydrogenation fine project of 1.6 million tons/year and auxiliary hydrogen production unit of 40000Nm³/h for Shandong Kenli Petrochemical Group that we undertook successfully operated at first attempt on January 25, 2016.

The hydrogenation fine project and hydrogen production unit were featured by optimized plant layout, reasonable allocation of equipment and process, easy operation, which minimized the construction investment.

The distillate hydrogenation fine project of 1.6 million tons/year used coker gas oil, vacuum gas oil and mixed DCC diesel oil as raw materials and the hydrogenation catalysts provided by Axens to produce naphtha, refined diesel oil and refined gas oil. And the refined gas oil was then used as feed material for catalytic cracking unit.

We were responsible for the engineering design of hydrogen production unit of 40000Nm³/h and worked as the general contractor of hydrogen production reformer. The PSA program-controlled valve and adsorbent were supplied by us. The hydrogen generation unit used natural gas and catalytic dry gas as raw materials. The raw materials were purified by the isothermal-adiabatic bed olefin saturation desulfurization technology while the hydrogen was purified by our proprietary pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology.

The hydrogenation and hydrogen production units passed the 72-hour continuous operation test. The unit ran steadily and was easy for adjustment, all control functions and technical indicators met requirements with reliable system performance. Therefore, the unit was qualified in meeting production requirement. We had provided timely and considerate services with respect to engineering design, project construction and unit operation and was highly praised by Shandong Kenli Petrochemical Group. At the same time, this project provided us a chance to expand more development space in engineering services for local oil refinery enterprises.
