On September 21, PetroChina Ningxia Refining & Chemicals Company launched its groundbreaking ceremony of a 5 mt/a project in Yinchuan.

The 5 mt/a project of Ningxia Refining & Chemicals Company is a key construction project for CNPC's "11th Five-year Plan", and a primary component of the refining industry belt along CNPC's western pipelines. The total investment of the project is RMB 8.2 billion. Ten units and their auxiliary facilities, including a 5 mt/a atmospheric distillation unit, a 2.6 mt/a catalytic cracking unit, a 900 kt/a continuous reforming unit and a 100 kt/a polypropylene unit, will be built and expected to be operational at the end of 2010.
