To meet the growing supply needs of the premium East Coast markets, NiSource Gas Transmission & Storage (NGT&S) unit Columbia Gas Transmission is holding a binding open season on capacity for several regional markets.

Columbia Gas Transmission is soliciting binding offers for transportation capacity resulting from modifications to the company’s Easton compressor station. These modifications will increase delivery capacity from the Wagoner interconnection point between Columbia and Millennium pipelines on Columbia’s Line 1278. Market areas to which the increased capacity will be directed are areas 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29 and/or 30. The amount of capacity available in any market area will depend on the bids received, and will affect the allocation of capacity.

“The eastern market area represents a growing demand that Columbia Gas Transmission will be better equipped to serve through the increased capacity of the Easton compressor station,” said John McNamara, vice president of Marketing and Origination with NGT&S. “With cost-effective modifications such as those made at Easton, we are prepared to continue to meet the growing energy needs of the Northeast.”
