Global subsea contractor, Subsea 7 announced today that it has been awarded a contract with a value of approximately US $25 million from Talisman Expro Limited, (formerly Paladin Expro Limited) for a subsea installation contract in the North Sea.

The contract is for the fabrication, installation and commissioning of 10 inch production pipeline tie-in spoolpieces, 8 inch water injection pipeline tie-in spoolpieces and 4 inch gas lift pipeline tie-in spoolpieces at both the Ula platform and the Blane drill centre which are located in the Norwegian Continental Shelf and the UK Continental Shelf respectively. Subsea 7 will also fabricate, install and commission the riser caisson and the SSIV (subsea isolation valve) structure as well as installing and commissioning approx 33 km of control umbilical. Operations will take place in water depths of between 70 and 75 metres with both diver and diverless technologies being adopted.

Engineering for the project will commence immediately with a number of Subsea 7's vessels being utilised in the offshore phase which is due to be completed in late 2006.

Subsea 7's UK Vice President, Steve Wisely said, We look forward to continuing to support Talisman with their installation work during 2006 and to provide services in both the UK and Norwegian continental shelf during the course of this project.
