The SONATRACH Folding Opening Commission met today for the opening of tenders for the National and International Restricted Bidding published on the BAOSEM on November 13, 2017. The purpose of this Invitation to Tender is to is aiming at the completion of a new deep-conversion crude oil Refinery with a capacity of 5 Million Tonnes per year at Haoud El Hamra, Hassi Messaoud.

18 companies withdrew the Tender File, of which 07 submitted technical files:

1. Grouping: SINOPEC / CTI;
2. Grouping: PETROFAC / GS;
3. Grouping: TECNICAS REUNIDAS / SAMSUNG Engineering;
4. HQC (China Huanqui Contracting & Engineering);
5. HYUNDAI Engineering;
6. MAYOR TECNIMONT / PETROJET;
7. HUALU Ingineering.

These files will be forwarded to the Technical Offer Evaluation Committee.

This project is part of the SH 2030 transformation project: it will increase the country's refining capacity, and further cover the national needs for refined products.
