BW Offshore has chosen Inocean as one of its engineering partners for the Papa Terra project.
At the beginning of February 2010 BW Offshore, together with its Brazilian consortium partners in QUIP and QGOG (Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás), signed the contract for the FPSO P-63 with the Papa Terra Joint Venture (Petrobras (operator) and Chevron).

The scope of work

Inocean has been given the responsibility for major parts of the hull and topside structural engineering, technical documentation and drawings for class approval during the conversion of ULCC BW Nisa (323,000 dwt) from tanker to FPSO.

Create value for BW Offshore

We look forward to play a part in another major FPSO projects for BW Offshore and to be able to support the company with our FPSO competence and experience, says John Namork, Managing Director of Inocean Engineering. -High quality engineering is a key success factor in projects like this. By being on target with evaluations and calculations we think we can participate in creating value for BW Offshore and to a successful project execution, says Namork.

The Papa Terra field is located in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil, and the FPSO is expected to commence production in 2013.
