Heerema Zwijndrecht will be awarded a combined contract for fabrication, installation and hook-up of the 4,300 tonnes integrated production deck (IPD) and the 12,500 tonnes dry weight gravity based substructure. A letter of intent with this information has been received today.

“We are absolutely delighted with this award” stated Wim Matthijssen, Heerema Zwijndrecht Managing Director. “It is not only a terrific accomplishment for the company, but also a reflection of the skill and dedication of our workforce.” The contract was won in strong worldwide competition with bidders from Europe and the Far East.

The De Ruyter platform will be installed in the summer of 2006 in block P10/P11b which is located offshore 60 km Northwest of The Hague in water depth of around 35 meters.
