Petrobras starts production of FPSO Cidade de Anchieta in pre-salt of Campos Basin

Petroleo Brasileiro SA - Petrobras That INFORMS yesterday, September 10, around 6 pm, it has started production at the oil well 7-BAZ-02-ESS platform through the Cidade de Anchieta.

The platform is located in the Baleia Azul field in the area known as Parque das Baleias, off the coast of the state of Esprito Santo in Campos Basin. This platform, Which is an FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) is Exclusively dedicated for pre-salt production have Baleia Azul, and Jubarte Pirambu fields, Petrobras holds in Which a 100% stake.

FPSO Cidade de Anchieta will Produce high commercial value of oil (28 API). The FPSO was chartered to SBM Services Inc., And Has the capacity to process 100.000 barrels of oil and 3.5 million m3 of gas per day. The platform is installed at a water depth of 1.221 meters, 80 km off the coast. The natural gas produced will be pumped through the Sul-Norte Capixaba pipeline to the Gas Treatment Unit in Nautral Cacimbas, on the coast of Santo Esprito state.

The initial generation of well 7-BAZ-02-ESS, Which is already connected to the platform, is Estimated at 20,000 barrels per day. An additional nine wells (6 wells producing wells and 3 injection) will be connected to the platform. Peak output of 100.000 barrels per day is expected to be by Reached in February 2013.

FPSO Cidade de Anchieta was converted at the Keppel shipyard in Singapore and is share of the pre-salt development project for the Parque das Baleias area.
