Petrofac secures contract with BG

Turbomachinery Management Group (TMG), a specialist division of Petrofac Facilities Management, the leading facilities management company, has announced that it has won a further five-year contract for the provision of gas compression healthcare services on the Armada gas/condensate fields operated by BG. The Armada complex comprises a single platform and 4 gas/condensate fields (Fleming, Drake, Hawkins and South-Westandnbsp; Seymour) situated in the Central North Sea.

This performance-based contract involves all aspects of turbomachinery package maintenance and performance management, including 24 hour offshore attendance & 24/7 emergency support, major overhaul/repair supervision and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) co-ordination.

Commenting on the award, Paddy Mallan, Operations Support Director for Petrofac Facilities Management’s European division said, “We are delighted to win this contract & looking forward to continuing our relationship with BG. We have held this contract for 7 years and winning a further 5 years through the competitive tendering process is a significant achievement for Petrofac.”

Peter Bolton, General Manager BG Group in Aberdeen said, “I too am delighted that Petrofac has secured this work and look forward to the continuation of our excellent working relationship and close cooperation in the running of our gas compression facilities.”
